Today was a cold one, but that didn't stop us from heading up to Pine Flat to run the N. Fork Kings. This time of year, PG&E does maintenance on the powerhouse. That means good flows for us, at a time when little else is running.
We put on with between 750-800 cfs at noon, and that flow dropped to around 400 cfs by 4pm. It was plenty of water, without being too pushy. The only swim of the day was by yours truly. No big deal, just a bad line. Paul killed it. The guy didn't even tip over.
After some hot Gatorade and warm clothes, we agreed that it was a sweet run. I can't wait until spring.
